Alex Challoner

Alex Challoner is a leading UK political/media strategist with more than 30 years’ experience in public affairs and communications advocacy.  He is the founder of Cavendish Communications which he built and sold to BECG in July 2020.  In June 2022, BECG rebranded as Cavendish Consulting and is ranked No1 UK public affairs consultancy by PR Week 2022.

He is currently providing part time strategic support to a number of public affairs agencies on growth, culture and new business.  He also provides political and strategic communications support on Parliamentary engagement, reputational advice and thought leadership.

Within the third sector Alex has advised a number of leading charities and NGOs at CEO level from North London Hospice to Canal and River Trust.  Alex is currently a Board Adviser to the Enham Trust.

Outside of his client work Alex has had an active career in politics and political campaigns at national, local and regional level.  He is a trained broadcast journalist who has worked for the BBC.
