Ilana Salem
Ilana began her career working at JWT Manchester as a junior copywriter cutting her teeth on Allied Carpets.
After 18 months she found fame and fortune in the big smoke. At that time it was ‘on trend’ to hire northerners in creative departments and she was snapped up by Brunnings to work on MFI, Halifax and Toyota.
She has worked at most of London’s top ad agencies including Grey, Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi and AMV BBDO. Her last role was as Joint Creative Head for VCCP Blue running Asda. She is currently enjoying life as a freelance consultant.
Ilana has also worked with some major charities such as Cancer Research, RNIB and Marie Curie.
She created and taught an advertising module for the University of Westminster to MA students and lives in North London with one of her two kids.
