In the week after the attempted assassination of former President Trump, it is timely to take a look at the gun control battle which has taken place in the US for decades. (Trump, of course, has been a strong supporter of the pro-gun lobby.) It is also a sober reminder that for all the campaigning, including the creative brilliance shown below, gun control has failed to gain any ground against the lobbying might of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

This brilliant idea was horribly prescient, so proving, in the worst way, the entire premise of the film: 2 months after this was first shown, 17 people were murdered in the Parkland school shooting.
